Financial Planning Clients & Friends Event- DuPage History MuseumOn Thursday, November 19th, Keffer Financial Planning held a Clients and Friends Appreciation event at the DuPage County Historical Museum. This beautiful Victorian building, the original town library for Wheaton, was the perfect venue for an evening of music, history and wine tasting.
Dr. David Maas, 40-year professor of history at Wheaton College, shared three fascinating stories of Civil War era events that occurred in and around Wheaton. Dr. Maas is in the process of finishing a new book on the activities of Wheaton College graduates in the great conflict, as well as the school's role as a stop on the Underground Railroad.
Musical entertainment was provided by "Vivaldi Strings", a group of talented young performers who energized the crowd with mid-19th century music under the direction of Julie Maura.
Guests enjoyed wines served by local favorite Tasting deVine.
In greeting the attendeeds, Bill Keffer explained that with nearly 100 clients having chosen his firm in its first two years in operation, it was time to say thank you to those clients, as well as to the broader community of 'Friends of Keffer Financial Planning.'
