Presentation to AMA Alliance Leadership Development MeetingSeptember 30, 2011
Chicago, IL
Today, I had the opportunity to make a presentation on "Financial Health" to this weekend's gathering of leaders in the AMA Alliance's Leadership Development meeting at the Chicago Marriott. The purpose was to give the audience, mostly comprised of physician's spouses', an overview of financial planning for the fiscal "health" of their medical practices and their families.
The AMA Alliance is a volunteer service wing of the American Medical Association whose mission is to improve the health of the communities in which they live and work while maintaining the health of their own "medical families."
My talk centered on the fundamentals of good planning, including managing cash flow, tracking assets and liabilities, having a plan for debt reduction and saving, and investing with cost efficiency.
